In 1996, a preliminary meeting of several
Unaccredited Southern For-Porfit Schools gave birth to a concept of
unaccredited accreditation. In 1997, nine colleges came
together in Rodgers Trailer Park, Arkansas to create the NAAUCU.

History of the NAAUCU
The North American Association of Unaccredited Colleges and
Universities was founded in Rodgers, Arkansas in 1997. Without
accreditation, these institutions found it difficult to fight the
discrimination and bigotry directed at non-accredited schools. Many
have been purchased/reorganized or are no longer in operation, but their sacrifice will not be
forgotten. The pioneering schools are listed in their place of
honor below.
